HALIFAX — Almost a week after last Tuesday's first emergency Arctic Council meeting, negotiations among countries have, seemingly, lead to further conflict.
An anonymous source within the US government released information to the CBC regarding communications with Greenland. Greenland are reportedly seeking help from the US, and the US are offering to make Greenland a NATO ally if they do successfully leave Denmark.
The US have also offered to be Greenland's primary foreign investor.
This comes in the wake of global protests from indigenous groups across almost all Arctic countries over last week's Arctic 1 oil leak. The reasons for this decision however have currently not been made public.
The Arctic counil will be meeting tonight in Halifax at 6:00 PM.
